About Luke:
I am a person-centred psychologist, meaning I am guided by my clients, and regularly check in to ensure we are focused on the most important issues in their life at that time. I have experience helping clients with various issues including life and work stress, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, gambling, drug and alcohol addiction, childhood trauma and relationship difficulties.
I also have a keen interest in Positive Psychology, which explores the science of happiness, and through counselling, I assist my clients in realising their wellbeing potential. I work with a range of clients, including adults, adolescents/children, couples, and athletes, integrating positive psychology principles with other established treatment methods such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Behavioural Activation and Motivational Interviewing.
I am passionate about Mindfulness, and offer mindfulness-based coaching and counselling. I practice what I preach, and have a daily mindfulness practice, and regularly use ACT principles in my day-to-day life, and especially within the therapeutic relationship.
